SECRET SERVICE Training Project
16 Maart , 2003

On March 16th, 2003, 2 days after the start of the war in Iraq, students at the high school in Menen, Belgium stagged a sit in strike in the school yard. They refused to speak with English visitors who had come for Native Language Speakers Day. The students did not want to speak to anybody from "The Coalition of the Willing".

David Cassel and Abigail Collins, having flown from Australia as the war was erupting, encouraged the students to come inside and listen to their side of the story. It was after a day of fielding questions that ranged from aboriginal issues in Canada and Australia to the War in Iraq that students expressed an interest in the Secret Service Summer Training Project.

The young man sitting between David and Abi is Benoit van Raes who went on to organise many aspects of the Secret Service Project 2003.
